Dili, 21 February 2025; Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) Formosa welcomed the vibrant energy of the 15th Annual Red Dress Run, organized by Dili Hash House Harriers (DH3) in Dili, Timor-Leste.
The fundraising event began at CVTL headquarters in Bairo Formosa and followed a scenic city route from CVTL → Government Palace → Hotel Timor → Port of Dili → Municipal Football Stadium → back to CVTL, running from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Held annually every February, the Red Dress Run is a unique and colorful tradition where participants of all ages dress in red clothing and fun accessories while running and walking together. Beyond the festive atmosphere, the event carries a meaningful purpose raising funds and public awareness to support CVTL’s humanitarian mission.
The funds collected from this year’s event will contribute to strengthening CVTL’s humanitarian programs, including: Disaster response initiatives, Community health services and Support for vulnerable communities across Timor-Leste.
Mr. Bency Issac, responsible for the Red Dress Run in Dili, shared that the tradition continues to grow each year, bringing together community members and partners united by a shared commitment to humanitarian service.
CVTL Secretary General, Mr. Agapito da Silva, expressed his sincere gratitude to DH3 for their continuous and valuable support. He emphasized that strong partnerships such as this are essential in strengthening humanitarian efforts and reaching those most in need throughout Timor-Leste.
On 24 February 2025, the DH3 team, led by Mr. Bency Issac, met with the Secretary General of CVTL along with the Fundraising and Finance team at CVTL National Headquarters in Bairo Formosa, Dili, to officially hand over the funds collected during the event.
CVTL extends heartfelt appreciation to DH3 and all participants who took part in this meaningful humanitarian mission. Their generosity and commitment make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable communities across the country.
