CVTL Conducts Midterm Review of SDRR Project in Gleno to Strengthen Disaster Preparedness

3 December 2025, Gleno, Ermera – The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) successfully conducted an Internal Midterm Review for the project “Strengthening Disaster Readiness and Response (SDRR)” in Gleno, Ermera.

According to Mr. Dinis Gomes, CVTL SDRR Project Manager, the review aimed to assess the project’s progress through interviews, group discussions, and experience sharing among the project team and key partners. The process helped identify challenges, highlight achievements, and draw lessons that will contribute to strengthening future disaster risk reduction services.

The review was facilitated by Ms. Ishma Soepriadi (PMER, Indonesia Delegation – AmCross), Ms. Sawinee Phuengnet (Grants Management Officer, AmCross Asia Pacific Division), Mr. Dinis Gomes (CVTL SDRR Project Manager), Ms. Joalita Teresa Magno (CVTL Gender Protection & Inclusion Officer), Mr. Duarte de Deus Martins (Coordinator, CVTL Ermera Branch), and Mr. João Maia (SDRR Project Officer, CVTL Ermera Branch).

The activity also gathered participation from the President of the Ermera Municipal Authority, Mr. José Martinho dos Santos Soares, representatives from the Municipal Service of Civil Protection and Natural Disasters of Ermera Municipality, the Second Operation Commander of the Civil Protection Authority of Ermera Municipality, the Director of BEE-TL E.P Ermera Municipality, and local civil society organization TILOFE.

The Internal Midterm Review was made possible with the support of the American Red Cross (AmCross), reinforcing ongoing collaboration to improve community resilience and disaster preparedness across Timor-Leste.
