CVTL Covalima Provides First Aid Support During Mini Enduro and Motor Cross Activities Commemorating the 27th Anniversary of the September Massacre

Covalima, 12–13 September 2026 — The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) Covalima Branch, through its First Aid Team, provided first aid assistance during the Mini Enduro (Soke Ai Laran) and Motor Cross activities held in Covalima Municipality on 12–13 September 2026.

The activities were organized as part of the commemoration and remembrance of the 27th Anniversary of the September Massacre (Massacre Setembru Negro), bringing together participants and community members in Covalima.

Throughout the event, the CVTL First Aid Team remained on standby to respond to emergency cases, monitor the health conditions of participants, and provide timely and appropriate first aid assistance whenever needed. The team’s presence helped strengthen emergency preparedness and contributed to a safer environment for participants during the sporting activities.

A total of 11 CVTL volunteers, comprising 8 females and 3 males, supported the first aid operation. The activity was carried out in good collaboration with the National Ambulance and Emergency Medical Service Team (SNAEM, I.P.) – Covalima Municipality, strengthening coordination and emergency response during the event.

Through the deployment of its First Aid Team and volunteers, CVTL Covalima Branch continues to support communities by promoting preparedness, providing timely first aid assistance, and contributing to the safety and well-being of people during community activities and public events.
