Dili, 2 April 2026 – The President of the Timor-Leste Red Cross (CVTL), Mrs. Madalena Hanjam, together with the Secretary General, External Relations Coordinator, and Health Coordinator, held an official meeting with H.E. the Minister of Social Solidarity and Inclusion (MSSI), Mrs. Veronica das Dores.
During the meeting, the Minister expressed her appreciation for CVTL’s ongoing social and humanitarian activities, noting that the outcomes of the discussion would be considered for inclusion in the Ministry’s priority agenda.
The meeting provided an important platform for both parties to engage in constructive dialogue and exchange views on strengthening cooperation in humanitarian services across Timor-Leste. Discussions focused on enhancing effective collaboration to better respond to the needs of vulnerable communities.
Mrs. Madalena Hanjam expressed her sincere gratitude to the Ministry for hosting the CVTL delegation. She emphasized the importance of continued partnership and coordination to ensure impactful and sustainable humanitarian responses.
In addition, both CVTL and MSSI discussed the preparation of the 2027 humanitarian service plan, which will serve as a strategic guide for future initiatives and joint actions.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from both institutions to work together with responsibility and solidarity to improve community well-being and promote social welfare throughout the country.
