Bobonaro, 10 April 2026 — The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) Bobonaro Branch successfully organized a mini workshop on First Aid for students at Colégio Infante de Sagres in Maliana.
According to Mrs. Sandra da Cruz, Coordinator of the CVTL Bobonaro Branch, the workshop focused on essential life-saving skills, including wound dressing, bleeding control, and evacuation techniques. The activity aimed to strengthen students’ capacity and preparedness to respond effectively in emergency situations.
A total of 125 students participated in the workshop, comprising 57 female and 68 male students. The session was conducted using interactive and practical methods, allowing participants to actively engage and practice the techniques taught.
The training was facilitated by experienced trainers from the CVTL Bobonaro Branch, ensuring that participants gained hands-on knowledge and confidence in applying first aid skills.
“We hope that what you learn today will be useful and that you can apply it in your daily life when such situations occur,” said Mrs. Sandra da Cruz.
The initiative reflects CVTL’s continued commitment to promoting community safety and building resilience through education and practical training.
