CVTL Manufahi Distributes Chicken Cage Materials and Horticulture Tools to Strengthen Community Livelihoods

5 December 2025 – Manufahi, The CVTL Manufahi Branch, together with ICBRR project officers and volunteers, has distributed chicken cage (Manu Luhan) construction materials to beneficiaries in Mindelo Village, Manufahi Municipality. The initiative aims to support families in improving household income and nutrition through sustainable livelihood activities.

According to Rosalia, Coordinator of the CVTL Manufahi Branch, the program focuses not only on providing physical materials but also on equipping communities with the necessary skills to maintain long-term livelihood practices.

“We support these communities to improve their family economic income, including family nutrition. Before we give physical material support, they also participate in livelihood training. From their planting and raising, they can eat and sell some to earn money to sustain their family needs,” she said.

A total of 25 beneficiaries received chicken cage materials, each consisting of 10 roofing sheets and 6 meters of net. In addition, the team continued distributing horticultural materials to 15 more beneficiaries. The horticultural support package provided by CVTL includes 1 roll hose, hoe, fork, bucket, watering can, knife, hook, and nails.

This livelihood support program is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (MOFA) through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
