26 October – 2 November 2025, Singapore — The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL), represented by Disaster Management Coordinator Mrs. Emidia Belo, participated in the Humanitarian Future Forum (HFF), Exercise Coordinated Response (Ex-CooRes), and the ADMM-Plus Experts’ Working Group Meeting held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore.
The Humanitarian Future Forum (HFF) serves as a platform to enhance regional preparedness and resilience through inclusive dialogue and knowledge exchange. The event also aims to strengthen coordination among civilian, military, and police actors in humanitarian assistance and disaster preparedness, reflecting a shared commitment to regional stability and collaboration.
A total of 150 participants attended the forum, including a Timor-Leste delegation of seven representatives (two female and five male) from the Falintil – Timor-Leste Defense Force (F-FDTL), Timor-Leste National Police (PNTL), Civil Protection Authority (APC), Simile, and Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL). The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement was also well represented, with participants from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and the Singapore Red Cross (four female and two male).
The forum was organised and supported by the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), specifically its Institute for Defence and Strategic Studies (IDSS), along with the Changi Regional Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Coordination Centre (RHCC). The participation of CVTL underscores Timor-Leste’s continued commitment to fostering regional cooperation, learning, and resilience-building in humanitarian action.
