15 August 2025, Dili – The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) organized a training session on financial management at its National Headquarters in Formosa, Dili. The program gathered Branch Coordinators, Operational Branch staff, the ICBRR Manager, ICBRR Project Officers, and volunteers from the Ainaro, Ermera, Manufahi, and Manatuto branches to strengthen their financial knowledge and skills.
According to Mr. Domingos de Oliveira, CVTL Finance Coordinator, the training featured discussions, presentations, and sharing of best practices. The main focus was to enhance participants’ understanding of financial management, expenditure procedures, and financial guidelines. He emphasized that the initiative aims to promote transparency and ensure effective accountability across CVTL operations.
The three-day program brought together 27 participants, including 13 females and 14 males. The diverse group actively engaged in the sessions, contributing ideas and experiences to strengthen collective capacity in managing financial processes within their respective branches.
This activity was made possible with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (MOFA) through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). CVTL reaffirmed its commitment to building strong systems and equipping its staff and volunteers with the necessary skills to deliver humanitarian services effectively and sustainably.
