CVTL Ainaro Branch Provides First Aid Support at Rabilau Culture and Tourism Festival in Maubisse

From October 14 to 18, 2024, the Rabilau Culture and Tourism Festival took place in Maubisse, Ainaro Municipality, with the active participation of the CVTL Ainaro Branch (Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste). The organization, through its First Aid team, alongside professional volunteer doctors and nurses, was present throughout the event to provide vital medical assistance. The festival, a major cultural and tourism attraction, drew large crowds, and CVTL’s involvement was crucial in ensuring the safety of attendees.

The primary goal of CVTL’s presence at the festival was to ensure that all participants had access to immediate medical care if needed. With large-scale outdoor activities and traditional performances, there was a heightened risk of accidents or health emergencies. The CVTL team remained vigilant, offering first aid services, treating minor injuries, and responding quickly to any medical situations that arose.

In addition to providing immediate first aid, the CVTL volunteers worked to educate festival-goers about basic health and safety measures. Their proactive approach aimed to reduce the chances of preventable accidents and health issues during the event, making the festival experience safer for everyone.

The Rabilau Festival, known for its vibrant showcase of local culture and tourism, benefited from the seamless support of CVTL. Their contribution not only ensured the well-being of participants but also highlighted the importance of community health services during large public events.
