Dili, June 6, 2024 – The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) hosted a one-day evaluation and refresher training for dissemination facilitators at its National Headquarters. This event aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of facilitators in areas critical to CVTL’s mission and vision, including the history of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, the history of CVTL, the emblem, the seven fundamental principles, and CVTL activities.
The training was designed to ensure that facilitators are up-to-date with the latest practices and methodologies, and to evaluate their performance to maintain high standards in dissemination activities. By focusing on these areas, CVTL aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of its outreach and educational efforts.
Throughout the session, the dedication and strengths of the facilitators were highlighted, while also identifying opportunities for improvement. Implementing the recommendations from this training will further enhance the dissemination activities, ensuring facilitators are better equipped to serve their communities.
The event saw participation from 12 dissemination facilitators, including seven females and five males, from CVTL 13 branches. The diverse group included both seasoned facilitators and newer members of the dissemination team, fostering a comprehensive learning environment.
The workshop featured Adhiningtyas S. Djatmiko, a Legal Officer from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Jakarta Regional Delegation, who provided valuable insights into International Humanitarian Law. The ICRC supported the activity, emphasizing the collaborative effort to strengthen the capabilities of CVTL’s facilitators.
