On 2–3 June 2025, the Logistics Department of Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) conducted a comprehensive two-day training in Dili for our drivers. The initiative aimed to enhance professional driving skills, promote safety, and deepen understanding of proper vehicle maintenance among CVTL’s operational staff. A total of 13 drivers representing all 13 CVTL branches participated, guided by five facilitators from the CVTL National Headquarters.
According to Mr. Eugenio Pinto from the CVTL Logistics Department, the training placed strong emphasis on adhering to CVTL’s internal Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Participants engaged in both theoretical and hands-on sessions focused on accident prevention and management, the ethical use of organizational vehicles, and practical tips for optimizing fuel consumption to ensure more efficient and sustainable humanitarian operations.
This vital training initiative was made possible with the support of the American Red Cross (AmCross). It reflects CVTL’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence, ensuring its logistics personnel are well-equipped to support timely and safe humanitarian responses across Timor-Leste.
