CVTL Holds 2025 Annual Reflection and 2026 Program Planning Workshop for SDRR Program

Dili, 26–27 January 2026 – The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) successfully conducted the 2025 Annual Reflection Workshop and 2026 Program Planning for the Strengthening Disaster Preparedness and Response (SDRR) Program over two days at the OSF Mother Meeting Room, Taibessi.

According to CVTL Disaster Management Coordinator, Mrs. Emidia Belo, the workshop provided an important platform to reflect on key achievements and lessons learned from the implementation of SDRR activities in 2025. The discussions also focused on revising and strengthening the annual work plan for 2026, with an emphasis on enhancing disaster preparedness, anticipatory action, and emergency response in the municipalities of Bobonaro, Covalima, and Ermera.

The workshop brought together SDRR program officers, department and branch coordinators, and representatives from key CVTL teams, including Disaster Management, Finance, Human Resources and Administration, PMER, and Communications.

A total of 20 participants attended the workshop, comprising 6 women and 14 men. The activity was accompanied by Mrs. Emidia Belo, CVTL Disaster Management Coordinator, and Mr. Sazzad Ansari, Representative of the American Red Cross (AmCross) in Timor-Leste.

The workshop was made possible with the generous support of the American Red Cross (AmCross), reaffirming its continued commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and response capacities in Timor-Leste.
