27 August 2026, Manatuto – The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) National, through its Blood Donation Mobilization Team, in collaboration with the CVTL Manatuto Branch, National Blood Bank, and Manatuto Municipal Health Service, conducted a blood donation mobilization activity at Manatuto Health Center.
The activity aimed to encourage community members to donate blood and contribute to increasing the availability and supply of blood for patients in need.
According to Mr. Januario, CVTL Manatuto Branch Coordinator, the activity is an important initiative to support the health system and ensure that sufficient blood is available for patients who require urgent medical care.
“The objective of this activity is to increase the availability and supply of blood to patients in need,” said Mr. Januario.
The blood donation mobilization activity also demonstrated the importance of community participation and collective action in supporting public health. Through voluntary blood donation, individuals can make a meaningful contribution to saving lives and supporting patients and families during critical moments.
The activity reflects the spirit of solidarity, volunteerism, and collaboration, bringing together CVTL, health authorities, and community members to promote health and well-being in Manatuto.
