On April 22–23, 2025, the Logistics Department of the Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) conducted a two-day “Logistics Warehouse Training” at its Aileu Branch Office. The training aimed to enhance the coordination, knowledge, and operational effectiveness of branch coordinators and branch operational officers across all 13 CVTL branches in Timor-Leste.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Eugenio Pinto, Coordinator of the CVTL Logistics Department, emphasized the importance of the training in reinforcing communication between the National Logistics Department and branch offices. He noted that the session focused on improving logistics practices during both routine operations and emergency responses, ensuring warehouse management is conducted in a safe, organized, and efficient manner in support of humanitarian work nationwide.
A total of 26 participants (14 female and 12 male) took part in the workshop, which was made possible through support from the American Red Cross. The training reflects CVTL’s continued commitment to strengthening local capacity and preparedness in logistics operations for effective disaster and humanitarian response across Timor-Leste.
