21 – 24 November, 2023 Maliana – CVTL together with Catholic Relief Services (CRS), haled a joint agriculture training in Lahomea Village (Maliana, Bobonaro).
This Training of Trainers (ToT) composed of theory and practice. The participants learnt a number of different gardening techniques including how to make circular hardens, keyhole garden, and trench gardens – so that the home garden can adapt to the size of the land available; they also learnt how to make compost (organic fertilizer).
This technical training was attended by 19 CVTL and CRS staff (female – 7, male -12).
The idea of this training is to help increase the nutrition of young women through agricultural activities – by producing nutritious food in adequate quantities and high quality.
This training was carried out as a joint work between CVTL and CRS through the Sustainable Targeted Results of Nutrition Growth Program (STRONG).
