Dili, 22 – 23 November 2023, CVTL participated in the Workshop on Anticipatory Action (AA in Timor-Leste: Road Map 2023-2028 and Working Group.
The aim of this workshop was to provide clarity and vision for the approach of Anticipatory Action for the next five years for Climate Change and Natural Disaster. It brings key partners including the private sector, together to build consensus on the road map action plan to develop and support anticipatory action efforts.
The workshop has two objectives: (1) To review and improve the Anticipatory Action Road Map for Timor-Leste (2023-2028) and (2) to present the Anticipatory Action Working Group and its Terms of Reference (ToR).
The workshop was attended by 50 participants (Women – 12, and Men – 38). This workshop was held through a joint initiative between the Civil Protection Authority, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, Timor-Leste Red Cross (CVTL) and Red Cross and Red Crescent Climate Centre.
