CVTL Viqueque Branch Empowers Ossorua Village with Life-Saving Knowledge

Viqueque, December 6, 2024 – The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) Volunteers from the Viqueque Branch conducted a vital community outreach program in Ossorua Village, Viqueque Municipality. The event aimed to address critical issues such as dengue prevention, child protection, and membership recruitment, ensuring a healthier and safer community for all.

During the activity, dedicated CVTL volunteers shared practical strategies to combat dengue by reducing mosquito breeding grounds, equipping families with knowledge to protect themselves. They also emphasized the importance of child protection, delivering key messages to foster a safer environment for children’s well-being. In addition, the volunteers encouraged locals to join CVTL’s membership program, promoting community participation in its humanitarian efforts.

This impactful initiative was made possible with funding support from the Australian Red Cross (ARC), underscoring the power of collaboration in creating resilient and informed communities. The CVTL remains committed to improving lives through education, prevention, and community engagement across Timor-Leste.
