Youth Health Training Conducted in Liquiça by CVTL

Liquiça, July 4-6, 2024 — The Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) conducted an intensive Youth Health training program in the sub-villages of Gariana and Lebiakailiti, located within Vatuvou Village in Liquiça Municipality. This training aimed to educate and empower young individuals on various health and environmental topics critical to their well-being and future.

The training sessions were interactive, with active participation from the 30 attendees, comprising 11 women and 19 men. Facilitators led comprehensive presentations and discussions on subjects such as the History of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, the history and mission of CVTL, reproductive health, healthy communication practices, and the impact of climate change. Participants engaged in group presentations and Q&A sessions, fostering a collaborative and dynamic learning environment.

This vital initiative was made possible through the support and funding provided by the Office of Civil Society Support (GASC-VPM), underscoring the importance of community-led health education and the ongoing commitment to enhancing the health and knowledge of Timor-Leste’s youth.
