CVTL Bobonaro Branch Hosts Training on PMER, Information Management, and Communication for staff and volunteers

On November 18-19, 2024, the Bobonaro region witnessed a comprehensive training session organized by the CVTL (Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste) Monitoring and Evaluation Team and Communications Team. The training, focused on Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (PMER), Information Management (IM), and Communication and Dissemination, was facilitated by CVTL staffs including Marcelino Alburqueque (PMER Manager), Apolinario Inggrid Lopes (IM Specialist), Lucas de Deus (Multimedia Officer), and Dinis Gomes (Disaster Risk Reduction Manager).

According to Marcelino Alburqueque, the training aimed to enhance participants’ expertise in monitoring and reporting processes, data management, and using effective communication platforms to boost visibility. The initiative emphasized building a robust foundation for quality project execution and transparent reporting within CVTL’s operations.

A total of 15 participants, comprising eight women and seven men from the Bobonaro, Ermera, and Covalima branches, attended the program. Octaviana Teresa do Carmo, a volunteer from the Covalima Branch, shared her experience, stating, “This training has significantly increased and improved my knowledge about monitoring and reporting processes, data management, and effective communication and visibility.”

The program, supported by the American Red Cross, highlights the commitment of CVTL and its partners to strengthening local capacity and empowering communities through skill-building initiatives.
