Dili Hash House Harriers Raise $1,000 for CVTL in 14th Annual Red Dress Charity Run

Dili, 19 February 2025 – A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Dili Hash House Harriers (DH3) for their incredible support of the Red Cross of Timor-Leste (CVTL) through their annual Red Dress Day Charity Run. The 14th edition of the event, held in Dili, successfully raised $1,000 to assist vulnerable communities across the country.

CVTL Secretary General, Luis Pedro Pinto, expressed his gratitude for the long-standing partnership with DH3, emphasizing the significance of community support. “We love our Annual Valentine’s Day Event with DH3. It is so important that Red Cross is supported by groups like the Hash House Harriers to help us with our important work of helping vulnerable people across Timor-Leste. And this event brings a lot of fun and colour. We are grateful for their support,” he said.

DH3 Acting Grand Master, Mr. Bency Issac, highlighted the club’s commitment to giving back while enjoying a unique and lively event. “We love this event every year and the fact that we can contribute to the vital work of CVTL. CVTL is always there in the community in times of disaster as well as building the resilience of the community to deal with difficult situations. We have a lot of fun and we are doing good in our community,” he stated.

The event was a huge success, bringing together participants dressed in red to raise funds and awareness for a meaningful cause. Thanks to the dedication of DH3 and the generosity of the community, CVTL will continue its vital work in supporting those in need across Timor-Leste.
