Timor-Leste Red Cross Congratulates IFRC on its 105th Anniversary

 The Secretary General CVTL (Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste – Timor-Leste Red Cross), Mr. Luis Pedro Pinto, extends warm wishes to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) on its momentous 105th anniversary. As an integral part of the global humanitarian network, CVTL acknowledges the IFRC’s unwavering commitment to alleviating suffering and promoting resilience worldwide.

In commemorating this significant milestone, Mr. Pinto highlights the profound impact of the IFRC’s humanitarian efforts across 191 countries, including those in Timor-Leste. The IFRC’s dedication to humanitarian principles and its tireless work in providing assistance during crises have been pivotal in shaping the landscape of global humanitarian aid.

Under Mr. Pinto’s leadership, CVTL reaffirms its commitment to collaborating with the IFRC and its member societies to address humanitarian challenges effectively. Together, they strive to uphold the  seven fundamental principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality, which are the cornerstone of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
