Likisa 19 October 2023 – in the Likisa branch.
The purpose of this camp is that young people is increase youth knowledge related to volunteering and humanitarian services. Also, they can get to know each other and share their experiences they have.
There were 43 Youth member participants (Female: 34, Male: 9) aged between 12-19 years old. It was a great way to learn new things which is not always taught in school.
Some of the activities included a limpeza (cleaning up rubbish) in community as well as cleaning around the camp area. We will be sharing more detailed stories about the Youth Camp, including interviews with the Youth participants soon on our Facebook and Website!
The opening of this camp was attended by the Secretary-General of CVTL, the Advisor of the SASCAS, APC Likisa President, PNTL Likisa representative, MSSI Likisa representative and staff and volunteers from CVTL National.
This camp was carried out with funding from the Australian Red Cross and SASCAS.
