Three Dili Institute of Technology Students Complete Internship at CVTL

Dili, March 11, 2024 – In a simple ceremony held today, three students from the Dili Institute of Technology (DIT) were honoured for their successful completion of professional internships with the Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL).  The students, Flavia Brigida Angela Araujo, Sonia dos Santos Ramalho, and Augusta Bendita, have dedicated two months of their academic journey to gain practical experience and contribute to the humanitarian efforts of CVTL.

The event, which marked the culmination of their internships, was attended by representatives from both institutions, highlighting the importance of the collaboration between academia and humanitarian organisations in Timor-Leste. From DIT, Mrs. Nunuk Supadmi and Mrs. Desni M. Oemata were present to witness their students receive recognition for their hard work and commitment.

CVTL, was represented by members from three departments: Logistics Department Coordinator Mr. Eugenio Pinto, Finance Department representative Mrs. Dulce de Almeida, and Human Resources Department representative Mr. Jaime da Silva, extended their gratitude and appreciation to the interns. Their participation not only contributed to the operations of CVTL but also exemplified the potential impact of nurturing young professionals through practical experience.

The partnership between DIT and CVTL demonstrates the commitment of both institutions to contribute to professional development and humanitarian service in Timor-Leste. By bridging academic learning with real-world applications, they are paving the way for a future where education and service go hand-in-hand.
