The objective of this information sharing is to make students aware of and understand the History of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent, 7 Fundamental Principles of the Movement, Emblem, International Humanitarian Law, the history of CVTLTimor-Leste Red Cross and its Auxiliary Statute to the Government. These informative sessions sought to inspire a sense of responsibility among students and increase their awareness of humanitarian principles.

The aim of the information sharing is to bolster the ranks of volunteers and empower students to actively participate in humanitarian activities, particularly in responding to emergencies. The campaign proved successful in attracting a considerable number of students who, motivated by a newfound understanding of the Red Cross’s history and principles, chose to contribute their time and efforts as volunteers in CVTL. The initiative not only served as an educational platform but also as a catalyst for fostering a strong spirit of volunteerism and community engagement among the student population.

As a result of these activities, CVTL anticipates a significant surge in its volunteer base, enhancing its capacity to undertake various humanitarian endeavors and respond effectively to emergencies. The success of this information and dissemination campaign highlights the power of education in inspiring positive social action and fostering a generation of individuals committed to making a meaningful impact on their communities.
